I thought I would give you a little rundown on just
who all these people are in the hopes that it might
make it a little clearer for you!
I have listed the siblings of each of my Grandparents
and shown some of the pictures for their descendants.
In other words, ie., my Maternal Grandfather, Claus
Younggren had two brothers, August and Otto. They will
show up in the menu and if you are related to either of
them, you would click on their names to see what pictures
I have that relate to him.
Also, I ask a favor of you: If you have any other pict-
ures that belong in that category that are interesting,
please send them to me. I will copy them for the computer
and return them.
My Maternal Grandmother Anna had a sister, Augusta
Wilhelmina and two brothers, Carl August and Lars Johan.
Uncle August, as we called him, came to this country,
changed his name to Lindstrand and raised a large family.
Augusta & Lars Johan remained in Sweden and we have
many relatives there who are their descendants.
My Paternal Grandfather, John Adolph Mattson, had one
brother, Axel, who came to America and two who remained
Swedish, namely Gustaf and Carl Eric. He also had an uncle
named Petter who was converted in Sweden by members of
the church of Latter Day Saints and emigrated to the USA
in the 1850s and raised his family here.
My Paternal Grandmother, Augusta Johnson, emigrated
to America at the bidding of her brother August who was
already here, and brought with her her parents and two
sisters, Christina and Mathilda.
And finally, Anders Svensson Lundgren. Anders lived
next to my Grandfather Claus' home at Romlycke near Skara
Sweden. He married my Grandmother's sister Maria and when
she died, he married my Grandmother's sister Brita Stina.
He raised quite a family here in Minnesota
Our door is always open!
